Support must also
protect people.

This notice explains how mentorship information is handled and the boundaries expected from everyone participating.

01

Information collected

The mentorship form collects your name, email address, current stage, school, university or employer where supplied, your mentorship goals and whether you are applying as a mentor or mentee.

02

Why it is collected

Information is used only to review applications, contact applicants, assess whether a suitable match may be available and administer the initiative.

03

Who may access it

Access is limited to the project administrator and authorised people assisting with matching. Information will not be sold or used for unrelated marketing.

04

Retention and deletion

Applications are retained only while reasonably required for matching, administration, safeguarding or legitimate record-keeping. You may request correction, withdrawal or deletion.

05

Making a privacy request

Use the mentorship page and begin the goals field with “Privacy request”. The administrator may need to verify your identity before changing or deleting a record.

06

Security and limitations

Reasonable protection measures are used, but no online system is completely secure. Do not submit identity numbers, passwords, banking details, medical details or unnecessary sensitive information.

01

No guaranteed match

Submitting an application does not guarantee that a suitable mentor or mentee will be available or appointed.

02

Purpose of mentorship

Mentorship provides guidance, encouragement and accountability. It does not replace teaching, counselling, healthcare, legal advice or the participant’s own work.

03

Academic integrity

Mentors must not complete assignments or assessments for mentees. Both participants must respect institutional rules and professional ethics.

04

Respect and boundaries

Participants must protect confidentiality and avoid harassment, discrimination, exploitation, financial solicitation and inappropriate relationships.

05

Learners under 18

A learner under 18 should involve a parent or guardian. Arrangements involving minors require safeguarding, transparent communication and no secret or unsafe meetings.

06

Ending a match

Either participant or the administrator may end a relationship where the match is unsuitable, boundaries are breached or safety and wellbeing require it.

By submitting an application, you confirm that the information is accurate, that you understand these terms and that you consent to being contacted for mentorship administration.
